We continue to design unique buildings ! The new building was created as a backdrop to the access roundabout of the Santiga Industrial Estate (PROVASA Sector) in Barberà del Vallès.
Special attention has been paid to designing a high-quality façade, avoiding the usual opaque walls with windows and columns typical of logistics buildings. To acheive this, the building has been worked as a large volume integrated into the steeply sloping terrain, reducing its visual impact. This volume, in turn, maintains a dialogue with the environment through curved forms and rounded shaped corners, using vertical fragmentation to break up the monolithic image of a tall facade.
On the main façade, the offices appear, like another volume inserted within the central core, and open shapes that contrast with the rest of the building.
Access to the offices is situated where these meet the warehouse volume, through an solid entrance evoking the meeting point with the ground, rising up to the upper floors and opening onto a glazed surface full of light.
In the warehouse volumes that are in contact with this vertical communications core, there are two mezzanines that can accommodate complementary uses, such as more offices, a gym, etc.
The building volume of the office space offers shelter to the loading docks that are located below.
In addition, special attention is paid to preserving and landscaping the existing green perimeter strips, and are provided with pleasant picnic spaces and areas for sports activities (paddle tennis court, for example)
