The engineering company has been awarded the Runner-up Prize in the Sustainable SME category for the province of Barcelona in the competition organised by Banco Santander, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia. This distinction qualifies Nadico to compete for the national Sustainable SME Award.
Barcelona, 13 July 2026.– Last week, Banco Santander hosted the presentation ceremony for the provincial runner-up awards of the 10th SME of the Year Awards 2026, organised by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Banco Santander and La Vanguardia. Awards were presented in the categories of Internationalisation, Digitalisation and Innovation, Training and Employment, and Sustainable SME. These awards recognise small and medium-sized enterprises for their contribution to the business community and economic development.
During the ceremony, Nadico was recognised as the Sustainable SME for the province of Barcelona. The jury highlighted the company’s commitment to socially responsible projects.
In this regard, Jordi Codina, President of Nadico, stated: «This award is much more than a recognition. It is an encouragement for our entire team to continue developing projects where innovation, quality and commitment always place people first».
As part of its application, Nadico presented its policies on development and equal opportunities, its commitment to continuous training and professional development for its employees, its robust ESG strategy, the WELL certification of its headquarters in Barcelona, and its Code of Ethics. The company also showcased its social initiatives, including the pro bono design of two inclusive sports halls, a pioneering project in Spain. All these actions reflect what the company refers to as the Nadico DNA.
With this recognition, Nadico will represent the province of Barcelona at the 2026 National Sustainable SME Award, the outcome of which will be announced during the first quarter of 2027
