We design and integrate photovoltaic self-consumption systems and energy efficiency measures in industrial buildings, logistics platforms and tertiary buildings, both new and existing. The goal is to cut bills and emissions with investments that pay back, through projects that can be licensed and subsidised.
Solar self-consumption for industry
Industrial roofs are a company’s best solar asset: large, unshaded surfaces with the consumption right underneath. Nadico covers the full cycle of a self-consumption PV plant, with or without surplus export, and with storage when the load profile justifies it.
Energy efficiency in industrial buildings
An energy audit identifies where energy is lost (envelope, HVAC, lighting, compressed air, industrial refrigeration) and ranks the measures by payback. From it we draw up the saving plan, the installation designs and, where appropriate, the building certification. This service is coordinated with Sustainability and BREEAM and WELL certification.
Frequently asked questions about industrial solar self-consumption
How much PV capacity can I install on my warehouse roof?
It depends on the usable area, orientation and structural capacity of the roof, and on the building’s consumption. The feasibility study sizes the plant to maximise self-consumption, not capacity, and checks that the structure can take the weight and anchors.
What procedures does a self-consumption installation require?
A design or technical report depending on capacity, licensing with the industry authority, grid access and connection permits when there is surplus export and, where applicable, a building permit. Nadico handles the whole file and the available grants.
Can it be combined with a roof refurbishment?
It is the best option: replacing an asbestos-cement roof and installing the PV plant in the same intervention cuts costs and takes advantage of asbestos removal grants. We plan it from Projects.
