Barcelona, May 21st, 2026.– On May 15, in the town of Argentona (Barcelona), the Barcelona Association of Engineers (Enginyers BCN) held its “Nit del Col·legiat i la professió”. This annual event brings together the association to celebrate the profession and recognise members, projects and companies within the sector.
In the 2026 edition, the Distinguished Member Award was presented by Ricard Nogués, Dean of the Association; Sergi Albet, Vice-Dean; and Xavier Roca, Director General of Industry, to Jordi Codina, Executive President of Nadico, in recognition of his more than 30 years of professional career.
During his speech, Jordi Codina highlighted the human value of engineering and the importance of building long-term relationships based on trust: “Over these 30 years, the projects we have carried out have not been the most important thing, but the people. This award is not only mine, but also belongs to all those I have worked with: colleagues, clients and the entire Nadico team.”
Codina stated that engineering is synonymous with responsibility and stressed that safety, quality, efficiency and sustainability are all part of the commitment that Nadico upholds and that generates trust and a sense of community.
He also reflected on how, for more than a decade, the company has brought an architectural vision to its projects that takes into account the people who work in the buildings.
Finally, Jordi Codina addressed a clear message to young engineers: “Stay curious. Trust is built through everyday work.”
These values are part of what the company calls the Nadico DNA, a way of working that defines the professional culture of the company’s more than 160 professionals in Spain, Peru and Morocco, where the company has its own offices.
